APPROACH
In a world seeking meaning and a better balance, “Hono Nui” means “great link” or “deep connection” in Reo Tahiti (Tahitian).
CONVICTION
my HONONUI was born from a simple belief: the strongest projects are those that create connection—between places and organisations, between international ambition and local realities, between strategic vision and human experience. We connect French Polynesia with the rest of the world, building authentic, lasting relationships across cultures, ideas, challenges, people, and territories.
In practical terms?
We conceive and deliver engagement strategies, projects, and events in French Polynesia. From strategic guidance to on-the-ground execution, we support international public, private, and non-profit partners. Our role is to create connections, strengthen them, and carry them forward—so that solid, meaningful collaborations can emerge. Rooted in French Polynesia and open to the world, we put people, culture, and impact at the heart of everything we do.

ABOUT
BARBARA MARTINS-NIO
With 25 years in international events, Barbara has conceived, led, and delivered large-scale projects for public institutions, private companies, and non-profit organisations—Olympic Games, World Cups, World Championships, international congresses, ceremonies, brand strategies and activations, hospitality programmes, and international corporate travel.
From France to South Africa, from Canada to Japan, from Brazil to Peru—via Switzerland, Russia, and Ethiopia—her career is a journey across cultures, venues, and challenges.
In 2022, she joined French Polynesia as Event General Manager for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Organising Committee. There, with her teams and in coordination with local institutions and stakeholders, she led the surfing events in Teahupo’o. A defining experience that combined global vision with close-to-the-ground delivery—and confirmed a conviction: the most powerful projects are born where international ambition meets deep local roots.
Her goal :to make French Polynesia far more than a host — a voice, a soul.
Her approach:a people- and place-driven strategy that combines vision, efficiency, collaboration, and creativity to shape projects that are more engaged, more collective, and more sustainable.
